The reigning WWE Women's World Heavyweight Champion Rhea Ripley has overcome all the odds stacked against her over the course of the past ten months and at Royal Rumble 2024, she was going to meet an "Irresistible Force."
WWE reportedly planned to have Nia Jax go after the top champion of the Raw brand, going by the series of storylines that unfolded until now. But if the latest edition is any indication then the top predicted match has been canceled.

Nia appeared for an interview on Raw and declared to be a different version of herself. She was also said to be focused on the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble and earning her WrestleMania match against IYO SKY or Rhea Ripley.
The latter eventually came out to the ring and asked why she was acting like already winning The Rumble. Ripley reminded Jax that she eliminated her from the match and that Jax should keep her name out of her mouth.
Jax ended the promo by saying that Ripley is the most dominant Women's Champion but when she was the first one to lay her out upon return. Jax also chose Ripley to be her WrestleMania opponent when she won the Rumble.
With this Jax has become the newly declared entrant for the Women's Royal Rumble 2024 matchup while Jax vs. Ripley for the Women's World Title at the upcoming PLE has either been scrapped or postponed for the time being.
At the Day 1 episode of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch faced off against Nia Jax where the latter came up victorious after hitting Lynch with a Banzai Drop to the shock of the WWE Universe.
Jax securing a clean pinfall win over a top star happened just so WWE wanted to establish her as the next challenger of Rhea Ripley, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter. But Jax has now joined the 30-woman fray for The Rumble.
The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is scheduled to go down on January 27, 2024, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The currently confirmed match card for the show is given below:
