Bengaluru, September 5: There’s no denying that Dolph Ziggler is a veteran player in the WWE. For over a decade, he’s been a loyal employee of the company who has done it all. With his extreme athletic ability, he stole the show by performing every single night that earned him the nickname of the 'show-off’.

But, for the better part of his career, WWE used him to expose the potential of new talents. Over the past few years, the creative has mostly booked him in feuds with emerging talents which needed him to digest defeats making him a jobber in the company. This, in turn, has taken his career to nowhere.

So, for a long time now, there is some speculation going on whether his WWE career will be over or not. These rumours were fuelled even more after Ziggler was absent from Smackdown Live ever since his feud against Shinsuke Nakamura is over. He was not involved in this year’s Summerslam event, as well.

Following the PPV, he returned to live TV but was only present for backstage interviews rather than performing inside the ring. For the past couple of weeks, he hinted to bring a newer gimmick on Smackdown Live which is yet to arrive. If a recent report is any indication then we might not get to see it, at all.

According to the dirtysheets.net, Dolph Ziggler’s contract with the WWE will be over in the month of October after which he will leave the company. With his current situation, he definitely does not look happy and could lead him to ponder on his exit.

So, the officials might not bother to approve a new gimmick for him. He is rather expected to get booked for a feud with Bobby Roode who is new to the roster. This will be yet another familiar job for him where he highlights a younger talent at his own expense.

Previously, the plan was to keep him away from competition for the remainder of his contract. But, later the plans changed and we expect him to go into his last WWE feud ever from next week onwards. Once October arrives, he will leave for Japan and more of Independent wrestling scenes to try his luck there.
