Rumour: Dolph Ziggler to set up title match at WWE Wrestlemania 34

Bengaluru, February 4: Dolph Ziggler won the United States championship in the Clash of Champions PPV, but after a bizarre set of incidents, he wanted to relinquish his title in the following night on WWE Monday Night Raw.

To counter this issue, the General Manager of Smackdown announced a tournament that was supposed to culminate a finale at the Royal Rumble PPV. On that night, the winner of this series will grab the vacated US championship. However, Bobby Roode had already become the new champion prior to the PPV. The recent reports indicate that there might be a big twist at the end of the tale.

If the recent reports From WrestleVotes Twitter handle are to be believed then it is evident the former champion will come back at one point to claim his stake at the title. The reason behind this will be that he never officially said that he relinquished the title. Rather, his absence was the reason behind this.

So, the storyline might go like this that Dolph Ziggler makes his way back to challenge the newly crowned champion to set up a challenge for the undisputed United States Championship match. This might culminate a match at Wrestlemania, too.

Not only this is going to be a huge storyline for the title but also will be good enough to save Ziggler's drowning career. Such an angle for a mid-card title is quite unique that will make the belt even more prestigious. It is also expected that Ziggler might return with a newly designed title, as well.

Check out more updates from SportsKeeda.com about the upcoming situation,

“They've stated that one idea that is being discussed is to redo the Wrestlemania X ladder match dual belt storyline. If you remember that ladder match was between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon who were arguing over who was the 'rightful' Intercontinental Champion.”

It is going to be one of that rare situations in the WWE like CM Punk leaving in 2011 and then coming back to reclaim the WWE Championship at Summerslam. The storyline angle for the undisputed title is considered as one of the best. Hopefully, this time too, the title feud will deliver, big time.
