Bengaluru, December 17: The next edition of Monday Night Raw will be headlined by the return of Brock Lesnar who will re-appear after a month's break. This time around there are speculation going on about his future championship defense and he is likely to address the issue with his manager, Paul Heyman.

But, that there’s a sad news for The Shield fans since Roman Reigns might miss the upcoming show, according to recent reports. WrestlingINC.com suggested that the main event superstar on the Raw brand is not likely to attend the show. The source did not reveal any concrete reason behind this absence since it’s a speculation, at this point.

In case you didn’t know, the upcoming edition of the flagship show will be hosted at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The official website of the venue does not enlist Roman Reigns’ name in the superstars list which indicates that the Intercontinental Champion will take a break from the show.

With the marquee player not appearing on WWE Raw, the creative team will come up with some backup idea to entertain the fans. As of now, a tag team main event dark match is being advertised where Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will team up against The Bar. It will be contested under Texas Tornado rules where all the four men can be involved in the contest at the same time.

In another match, it is likely that Kane and Braun Strowman will engage in another battle after their last match came to an abrupt end via disqualification. At this point, Roman Reigns is not involved in a slow-built feud against Samoa Joe which allows the officials to let him have a night off, with the Holiday Season events approaching soon.

On an interesting note, The Miz is also being teased to return on WWE Raw in Providence which will be an early comeback, for sure. He might be done with filming the Marine 6 movie and will come back to cover up the absence of the Big Dog. In case Roman Reigns does feature in the show than these two are likely to compete in a rematch for the IC title.
