Bengaluru, February 16: Ronda Rousey shocked the pro-wrestling industry when she appeared of nowhere at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
Now it appears that Ronda Rousey, the former UFC star, will feature in a big mixed team match-up at Wrestlemania 34.
Although her entry was expected and highly anticipated, fans were caught unaware when she came in and pointed at the Wrestlemania logo after coming on stage. Her appearance stole the thunder from Asuka, the winner of the women's Royal Rumble.
A title match seems evident at this point but if the reports from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter are to be believed, a mixed tag team match is kept in store for her.
According to the source, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will team up against Ronda Rousey and a partner of her choosing at Wrestlemania 34. The most likely candidate to take this spot is going to be The Rock. This is a continuation of a storyline from three years ago.
In case you don't remember, on Wrestlemania 31, the Authority figures, Triple H and Stephanie felt the combined wrath of Rock and Ronda Rousey in a pleasant segment for the fans. This moment became the 'moment of the year' in 2015. Considering Triphe H and Stephanie were at the receiving end back then, they will seek revenge against the former UFC superstar in Wrestlemania.
According to the stillrealtous.com, “Meltzer reports WWE is wanting a match with Ronda Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at the Show Of Shows in 2018 and that looks like the way they’re going. The Rock might be a different story, but I’m sure if he could make the big show this year he would. After all, he had to cancel an appearance last year because he was busy promoting Baywatch."
The source pointed out another instance of Ronda shaking hands with Stephanie after debuting, which was a bit awkward. This might be the beginning of the potential Wrestlemania feud that is likely to continue after the Elimination Chamber. The entire planning although depends on The Rock who is extremely busy with his Hollywood career.
