Bengaluru, December 15: The WWE Universe is set to witness two huge matches at the upcoming dual brand PPV from WWE Raw, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer.

The matches being discussed is Kane vs. Braun Strowman in a battle of two monsters and Roman Reigns will take on against Samoa Joe for the Intercontinental title at Royal Rumble, the first co-brand PPV of 2018 where both Raw and Smackdown will be involved to kick-off the Wrestlemania season.

Due to the cost-cutting strategy adopted by the WWE, there will be no PPV exclusively for Monday Night Raw at the end of 2017. Hence, they will have to somehow build up the feuds for the first PPV in 2018.

Meanwhile, Smackdown has a PPV stop in the form of Clash of Champions on December 17th where we will witness a plethora of championship matches. But, WWE Raw was set to rely on some big rivalries to hold on to the momentum picked up at Survivor Series PPV.

One of the major main event feuds that have been going on in the flagship show for weeks is Kane vs. Braun Strowman. The Big Red Machine returned to WWE to start a storyline to determine the true monster of the company. So, these two behemoths are tearing each other apart every week.

The other feud on WWE Raw which could lead to a match at Royal Rumble is the one between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe. For weeks now, the Samoan Submission machine has asssaulted the Intercontinental Champion to kick-off a storyline for title.

Brock Lesnar, the prime champion of the flagship show is expected to be away from the title picture until Royal Rumble. Hence, the creative team handed away the IC title to the franchise player of the company so that it can be given the main event spotlight. He will remain champion heading into 2018 with his current feud against Samoa Joe.
