Bengaluru, December 4: One half of the Hardy Boyz, Matt Hardy is set to start a rivalry with his new persona called Woken tonight on Monday Night Raw.

Matt Hardy hinted at a change of character on the past edition of Raw where he is seen frustrated after going through a losing spree for weeks. So, he started acting like a weird person on live television leading to the famous 'Delete’ chants from the crowd.

This is supposed to be the breaking point for the veteran superstar after which he will be wearing the gears of a new character known as Woken - the same persona that he introduced during his Impact Wrestling promotion stint back in summer 2016.

As per the updates from the Twitter handle of Matt Hardy, he will now attach the word 'Woken’ before his name and the character is believed to be the same as the 'Broken’ character from his earlier days. But, since WWE creative does not want to replicate the same, they have altered the name.

The elder Hardy also revealed his first opponent upon this transition and has chosen none other than Bray Wyatt and according to Twitter, The Woken One is looking forward to 'delete' the eater of the world. Apparently, last week’s match was just the start of a new feud that will progress this week.

These are the two most bizarre personas in the pro-wrestling industry currently and hence the fans wanted to see a dream rivalry between the pair. This could not happen since they belonged to different banners earlier.

The tug of war between Matt Hardy and Impact Wrestling promotion over the 'Broken’ gimmick is about to end as Impact wrestling heads are longer claiming the rights over this exciting gimmick and Matt will be the prime owner of it. Hence, it’s just a matter of time that we see Woken Matt Hardy on the flagship show to the delight of the WWE Universe.
