Bengaluru, February 10: WWE star Seth Rollins may take on his tag team partner Jason Jordan in April's Wrestlemania 34, if rumours are to be believed.

One-time tag-team champions Rollins and Jordan held onto the belt until the Royal Rumble PPV, before losing the championship to The Bar (the team of Sheamus and Cesaro). The two were initially paired up by the WWE creative heads only after the Dean Ambrose, Rollins' regular partner, suffered an injury. Jordan over-delivered on the very first night by bagging the tag-team title.

However, the attitudes portrayed by the two on WWE is quite contrasting. Jordan is someone who is despised by the WWE Universe. Jordan is often jeered by the audience while Rollins, on the other hand, is one of the fan favourites.

As noted by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan are expected to fall apart in due course. The current plan is pitting them in a match at the grandest stage of them all, providing a huge boost to young Jordan's career. Check out the quotes from the source (courtesy stillrealtous.com):

"I presume that's what's happening that [The Bar] won the Tag Team Titles. And I presume by watching this that Rollins and Jordan have a screw-up, you know which is the next step. Does that mean we're gonna end up with Rollins against Jordan at WrestleMania? You know what? It would probably be a really good match."

The objective of bringing the two together was to establish Jordan, revealed to be Kurt Angle's son, as a singles' competitor in the future. So, it is certain that the rivalry between Rollins and Jordan will be pushed in the future.

The seeds of the feud have been planted by virtue of a miscommunication during the WWE Raw 25th anniversary episode. Rollins hit Jordan with his knees unwillingly during a match. Earlier, Jordan left his partner high-and-dry during the tag team title match at Rumble against The Bar, eventually costing them their championship.

Since the two are not the tag-team champions any more, it's expected that the WWE will push for this angle in the near future.

As noted by the source, the Wrestlemania match is expected to be a solid one, considering the two's prowess in the ring. This contest was certainly not the original choice for the officials, but is likely to be retained considering Dean Ambrose and Samoa Joe's absence. Before that though, Jordan has to recover from a neck injury.
