Seth Rollins returns to action after 2 months ahead of WWE Wrestlemania 40

Top WWE Superstar Seth Rollins didn't have a great start in 2024. In January, he was put into the first title defense of this year on Raw against Jinder Mahal where he emerged to be victorious but unfortunately, he sustained an MCL injury.

WWE utilized that injury angle into their storyline where the fans were forced to believe that Rollins could be missing WrestleMania 40 in April. However, showing true spirits, the world champion always promised to make a strong comeback.

After being absent from in-ring competition for two months, Rollins finally made it back to action in a tag team match at a WWE live event, last night held at the Rapides Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana.

The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face the team of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa to win the tag team match. Rollins would pick up the pin-fall victory for his team with a stomp on Jimmy Uso.

It was during last week's episode of Monday Night Raw, that the top attraction of the brand confirmed that he was medically cleared for an in-ring return and since then fans anticipated his return to action after so long.

Seth Rollins is scheduled to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40 and the champion's fanbase is now assured that he won't be heading into the PLE with any sort of ring rust.

One night before The Visionary will face The Scottish Warrior at The Showcase of The Immortals, he will also team up with Cody Rhodes to face The Rock and Roman Reigns in the biggest tag team match of all time.

Given the star power inserted into this match, it should be the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night One that will also have an impact on the Night Two headliner between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, check out the results from last night's live event
