Bengaluru, December 17: The Clash of Champions PPV will be hosted at the TD Gardens Arena in Boston, Massachusetts and it will be the final PPV event of this year 2017.

The Smackdown brand will play hosts to the show with dual main events, the first one will be the WWE Championship match where AJ Styles will defend the title against Jinder Mahal.

In the second one, Kevin Owens will team up with Sami Zayn against the team of Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura with the added stipulation that is they lose the match, they will be fired from the WWE.

In addition to that stipulation, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan will be the two guest referees for the match to ensure that everything remains fair and square.

There are a lot of tensions around this matchup as the future of the Smackdown brand is at stake. Both the authority figures have revealed on Twitter that they intend to do the very best for their brand. But, things will definitely go down in a smooth way that might also let Daniel Bryan return to in-ring action in near future.

In the meantime, spoiler for this main event tag team contest might be out via an announcement from Daniel Bryan. As reported earlier, WWE confirmed an upcoming show named Mixed Match Challenge starting from January 16th on Facebook where male and female superstars will team up to form mixed tag teams and several matches.

The general manager of the blue brand announced the names who will be the participants of the matchups which is as given below,

SmackDown Live: Becky Lynch, Bobby Roode, Carmella, Charlotte, Jimmy Uso, Lana, Naomi, Natalya, Rusev, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura.

As you can see, Sami Zayn is being advertised for the series which suggests that their team will find a way to win the match. Even WWE's bookings in the upcoming weeks enlist both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn involved in action at the live events confirming that their job will still be intact as Smackdown superstars.

It also ensures that Daniel Bryan would turn out to be the deciding factor in this match since Shane McMahon is not likely to count the pinfall in favor of the heel duo. So, we should not be surprised if a heel-turn is reserved for the Smackdown general manager, as well.
