The road to WWE WrestleMania 40 has already been filled with uncertainties. In particular, WWE has managed to keep things tumultuous around the main event clash which forces the fans to believe that it could again be changed.
The anticipated headliner match at WrestleMania XL will see Roman Reigns defending his WWE Championship against the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble match winner Cody Rhodes in a rematch from last year, as confirmed by the WWE.

The Rock has also been involved in the situation by aligning himself with The Bloodline, while Seth Rollins threw his hat into it and kept his differences with Rhodes to join forces with him to stand against the heel faction.
Meanwhile, things took a twist at Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia where Rhodes directly challenged The Rock to a match at any time and place in response to which Rollins nodded to stand by his side.
With this, the prospect has arisen where The Bloodline's Roman Reigns and The Rock would be facing off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match. Rumors suggest this epic clash will headline Night One of WrestleMania 40.
Dave Meltzer further supported the theory on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. While Rollins and Rhodes would pull off a double duty during WrestleMania weekend, The Rock's in-ring participation would also be ensured.
If the match does go down then The Rock will return to competition in a full-length match after 11 years. Using him in a tag team capacity makes sense as he might not yet be ready to carry through a singles contest.
Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL has been confirmed for some time via a press conference. At the same time, Seth Rollins is slated to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40.
McIntyre secured a win in the Men's Elimination Chamber Match to become the number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Title. Furthermore, he dedicated his match at WrestleMania to CM Punk to continue the beef with the injured WWE returnee.
