Summerslam 2023: Possible full Match Card revealed for WWE PLE

Bengaluru, July 10: With SummerSlam 2023 looming in within a month, WWE has a lot of creative plans to be executed. This is the second biggest premium live event of the year after WrestleMania which needs to meet the expectations.

For the third year in a row, SummerSlam will be held in a stadium that's the Detroit Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, and a packed card is expected to entertain the fans who will visit the motor city for the upcoming weekend.

Previously, updates were received that six matches will be on the card of the 2023 SummerSlam. Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that overall eight matches will be there on the main show of the PLE.

The source noted in the latest that Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez is planned for the biggest part of the summer. This one is supposed to be a slobber-knocker of a bout over the Women's World Championship.

At present, Raquel Rodriguez is the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Liv Morgan. They also have new challengers over the titles as crowned on Raw that's the team of Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.

Hence, booking Raquel in a singles match capacity is interesting and we believe that she will defend her tag titles on a weekly episode of Raw while also gunning for the singles titles held by The Nightmare of the WWE.

Ringside News reports that Logan Paul vs. Ricochet will also be happening at SummerSlam 2023. The two are set for a face-to-face confrontation on this week's Raw after which the match should be officially announced.

Earlier this year, the high-flying duo delivered an earth-shattering moment by jumping off the ropes into each other at SummerSlam. It eventually became one of the most popular YouTube videos of this year on WWE's channel.

Then, Ricochet and Logan fell off the top ropes through two tables during the 2023 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match to break the internet, again and it appears that WWE always had the intention to put them in a match.

That being said, eight matches are reportedly penciled in to happen at SummerSlam 2023, as given below and we believe the official announcements regarding those will start commencing from this week's Raw onward:

- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

- Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes III (Rumored to be a Bullrope Match)

- Gunther (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship

- Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch II

- Asuka (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Women's Championship

- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's World Championship

- Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler

- Logan Paul vs. Ricochet
