Bengaluru, July 3: In about a month from now, WWE will host the second biggest premium live event in their calendar in the form of Summerslam 2023 from the Detroit Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
With Triple H in charge of creative things in the WWE, a lot of plans are to be executed for the PLE and things should kick off from this week's episode of Monday Night Raw.

Dave Meltzer confirmed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the top six matches for Summerslam 2023 edition have already been planned and these matches will feature prominent names such as Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, and Cody Rhodes.
In the main event of the WWE Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event, the Bloodline Civil War took place where The Usos defeated Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
In an interesting finish, The Usos hit a series of superkicks, double superkicks to take out Roman before Jey Uso finally came off the top rope with his signature Frogsplash to finally pin The Tribal Chief.
This marked Roman's first pinfall loss since WWE TLC 2019 PPV to Baron Corbin. Now, it's pretty obvious that Jey will get a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Summerslam against Roman in a headliner.
Originally, Jimmy Uso was speculated to get the title shot since he revolted against the champion and attacked him at Night of Champions. Even, Solo Sikoa is rumoured to turn on Roman which keeps a lot of options open for the latter's Summerslam match.
At the Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event, Shayna Baszler turned on her tag team partner Ronda Rousey with a brutal assault that allowed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
It's evident that Ronda and Shayna will now enter a singles feud to culminate in a matchup against each other at Summerslam. As noted by Meltzer, this rivalry was always supposed to come to fruition and things were preponed due to Ronda's upcoming hiatus.
With Drew McIntyre's return at Money in the Bank, the top WWE Raw Superstar is slated to feature in an Intercontinental Title Match while the ongoing storyline on Smackdown obviously points out a Triple Threat Women's Title match.
Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch's final match in the ongoing feud is long due for Summerslam while Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will also settle the score. At a glance, the six planned matches for the Biggest Event of the Summer are given below:
- Roman Reigns to defend his Undisputed Universal Championship against Jey Uso
- Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
- Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
- Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Women's Championship
- GUNTHER vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship
- Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler
