Summerslam 2023: Update on top WWE Superstar’s status after WWE PLE

Bengaluru, July 24: With SummerSlam 2023 in clear sight, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus are feuding on the Raw brand to produce a big match, possibly the final one in their program. Chances are high that the match will be made, official tonight on Raw.

Over the past few days, there have been rumours about Becky Lynch going into another hiatus after SummerSlam. Being a working mother, she might have been waiting for the much-needed break once this big event goes by.

However, the online speculations aren't correct and WWE wouldn't be missing one of their top TV talents, after all in the summer. Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful's paywall that THE MAN has no plans in mind for another hiatus.

Rumours around Becky Lynch and an upcoming hiatus started around Money in the Bank but it changed, "When we asked about Becky Lynch taking time off after SummerSlam, we were told that wasn't the plan as of Money in the Bank weekend."

Coming out of the Money in the Bank premium live event, the six-time WWE Women's Champion was dealing with a possible surgery situation but it was a minor one as she had quickly returned to action on Raw.

WWE doctors medically cleared her to wrestle and she's gearing up to seek vengeance on Trish Stratus in early August. But to secure the matchup, Becky first needs to pick up a win over Zoey Stark on tonight's Raw.

The stipulation suggests that a win over Stark will book Big Time Becks in a match against the WWE Hall of Famer while in the contradictory situation, she will have to make a "Thank You Trish" tattoo on her chest.

The rivalry between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus began on the April 10 episode of WWE Raw after the latter turned on Becky. They then Trish competed in a dream match at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.

Zoey Stark's involvement cost Becky in that match. Then in the women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, earlier this month, Trish and Zoey prevented Becky from gaining the Money in the Bank contract.

Now Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus feud is scheduled to get wrapped up at SummerSlam 2023 and it should be Trish who could be off WWE programming after the PLE since she returned with the sole purpose of only featuring in this program with the top Raw Superstar.
