SummerSlam 2024: Top WWE Star yet to be medically cleared for scheduled title match

The second biggest WWE premium live event of the year will be SummerSlam 2024 in the first week of August from the iconic Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio where some of the top WWE Superstars will be seen in action.

A few major matches for the SummerSlam have been confirmed including the WWE Championship Match with the lineup of Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa while the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest will go up against Gunther.

On last night's Raw, the WWE Women's World Champion Liv Morgan agreed to defend her title against Rhea Ripley to culminate in a feud that's been ongoing since the very beginning of this year.

To set up this major bout, Ripley has just returned to WWE TV, last week recovering from an AC joint sprain and the latest reports claim that she hasn't been fully cleared for physical action yet.

PWInsider reports the former women's world champion hasn't received the doctor's green signal and she won't wrestle until SummerSlam. WWE expects her to be 100% cleared by then but for the time being, they will make her avoid any sort of physicality.

Speculations about Rhea Ripley returning to WWE storylines were always there due to her beef with Morgan. But the internal belief was that she would return either at SummerSlam or two nights after on the post-PLE edition of Raw.

However, WWE preponed her comeback and booked the title match against Morgan partially because Ripley believes she will be ready to be back to action in the biggest extravaganza of the summer in Cleveland.

Last night on Raw, Morgan accepted a challenge thrown by Ripley to make their SummerSlam title match official. Dominik Mysterio was in the ring as she apologized to Rhea Ripley for getting romantically involved with Morgan in recent times.

Ripley mentioned that she doesn't belong to anyone, but Dominik is hers. Later on Instagram, she wrote the following, "I don't think women are becoming heartless. I think they are becoming more aware of what they deserve and how they want to be treated."
