SummerSlam 2024: Update on Roman Reigns’ appearance at WWE PLE

SummerSlam 2024 WWE premium live event will emanate from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio in less than three weeks and the anticipation among the fans is big around the show as they expect some big names on the card.

Being the poster figure of the WWE, Roman Reigns is being speculated to be on the show although he's yet to return to TV from his ongoing hiatus. However, recent reports do affirm that the top star is all set to make an appearance after a long gap.

Speaking on Fightful Select's Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Roman Reigns' status for SummerSlam and he stated that his return is expected but it is not confirmed, "It's assumed but not confirmed."

According to PWInsider, The Head of the Table was always anticipated to make his return by SummerSlam, and there were plans for him to come back on SmackDown 2-3 weeks before SummerSlam, which aligns with the current timeline.

"As we mentioned on the No Name Show earlier this week, Roman Reigns is expected back by SummerSlam. As I noted on Wednesday, at one point the plan was for him to return 2-3 weeks before SummerSlam, which is about to be now."

We haven't seen Roman Reigns Roman Reigns on WWE television since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In his absence, there have been massive changes in his beloved Bloodline faction.

Solo Sikoa has taken over leadership of the group, with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, & Jacob Fatu joining and acknowledging him as the new Tribal Chief. They also recently kicked out Paul Heyman from the Special Counsel position by an attack.

Last Friday Night on SmackDown, the main event of SummerSlam 2024 was further announced where Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa. A future feud between Roman Reigns and Sikoa is also expected if and when the former returns in this capacity.
