Will Superstar Spectacle 2023 in India be broadcast by WWE?
Bengaluru, August 23: Things have really been amped up for the returning Superstar Spectacle 2023 edition, a show that drags WWE back to India after a long gap of six years. Top WWE Superstars will be seen, live in action on the show.
Heading into this week's Raw, WWE announced that John Cena will travel to India for the Superstar Spectacle event and to promote the show, he will also be present on the September 1 episode of SmackDown.

The appearance of the former franchise player of the WWE rumoredly confirmed that the India live event will be broadcasted much like the 2021 event that was dedicated to the subcontinent fans from the closed-door setup of ThunderDome.
However, the latest report by PWInsider reveals that they were informed by multiple WWE sources about Superstar Spectacle being a non-televised show, meaning that it won't be airing, live on platforms like the WWE Network or Peacock.
There is a possibility that the decision could still change given a WWE Universe would want to watch John Cena wrestle for the first time in India. Hence, there's a possibility that the event might be aired locally but this has not been confirmed, to date.
As of now, the Superstar Spectacle 2023 is still being advertised as a live in-person event without a televised distribution set to emanate on Friday, September 8 at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India.
Sony Sports Network is in charge of hosting and promoting WWE Live in India. It's almost certain that they will air footage from matches and segments on their weekly WWE programming if a wholesome Superstar Spectacle isn't allowed to go on air.
As noted previously, no SmackDown Superstar is being advertised to appear for Superstar Spectacle 2023. However, reports suggest that John Cena will enter a program with Grayson Waller upon his TV return and the latter could end up being one rare blue brand WWE Superstar to visit India.
The confirmed top attendees for the India show are Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, John Cena, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Matt Riddle, Ludwig Kaiser, and all these names belong to Raw.
Additionally, Indian WWE talents like former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Sanga will play key roles in the extravaganza waiting from their home country. Another absent star from SmackDown, Shanky has also been added to the released poster.
