Bengaluru, August 11: While it's good news for the Indian fans to witness their favorite WWE Superstars, live in action at Superstar Spectacle within a month, the thing is that only a limited number of people could attend the show.
WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023 has been confirmed to go down from the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium (Gachibowli Indoor Stadium) in Hyderabad, India, on September 8, 2023, which will be a Friday Night.

Now, the indoor stadium has the capacity of hosting only 5000 people which is quite less to the audience that WWE Superstars sell out on a weekly basis. It appears that WWE strategically chose a smaller venue for a reason.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has an issue selling tickets in India. Typically, as the trend gets followed, sporting events are presented by sponsors, and fans are able to attend for free in this region.
Event organizers don't have to worry about gates, because sponsors take care of it to carry the cost. But in the case of WWE, the tactic is different as they have to charge for tickets while also holding paid shows.
Superstar Spectacle will be an event to be paid for by Sony, the broadcast network of WWE programming in India. But WWE is still charging for the 5000 seats they have for the event. The number is limited to make the show a quick sell-out.
"WWE has never done this and that's why even with all their popularity their live attendance has never been what people think it would be. If they do the usual TV set up, you're really talking closer to 3,500 there."
During WWE's last visit to India in 2017, they drew an audience of 9,000 fans in New Delhi. The main event saw Triple H defeating Jinder Mahal, who was busy with the event's promotion, throughout the year.
For the 2023 Superstar Spectacle, things will be different as WWE won't be having half of their stacked roster from SmackDown in attendance. Being a Raw-exclusive show, only stars from the Monday Night brand have been advertised.
That being said there will be a lack of star power due to the absence of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, former Women's Champions Charlotte Flair, or Bianca Belair which may provide hindrance in drawing audience.
For the time being, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Jinder Mahal, Veer, Sanga, Shanky, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Matt Riddle, Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser are being advertised to appear at Superstar Spectacle.
