The Rock announced for more WWE appearances before WrestleMania 40

The main event situation at WrestleMania 40 has essentially been heated up with the insertion of The Rock just after Royal Rumble passed by. His return on SmackDown was initially supposed to set up the dream match against Roman Reigns.

But then WWE created a twist in the situation to keep the rematch on between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania XL while The Rock officially became part of The Bloodline to make the group even stronger.

This happened on the February 16 episode of SmackDown while WWE has now announced that The Rock's next TV appearance will be on this Friday's March 1st episode of SmackDown, which will be the post-Elimination Chamber edition of the show in Glendale, Arizona.

This appearance on SmackDown is being promoted as "Greatness Is Coming" where The Rock will address a challenge thrown by Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, this past weekend for a one-on-one match.

Ringside News has previously informed that The Rock will appear on WWE shows for three consecutive weeks, starting with his announced appearance for SmackDown, this week. He will also be there on the March 8 and 15 episode:

  • March 1st: Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale, AZ.
  • March 8th: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX.
  • March 15th: FedEx Forum, Memphis, TN

The People's Champion further confirmed the upcoming appearances with a post on Instagram and aforementioned that these dates have already been sold out due to his star power which also showcased his current heel TV character.

Following The Rock's insertion in The Bloodline, the entire Samoan clan is now involved in a heated feud with Roman Reigns' WrestleMania 40 opponent for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, Cody Rhodes.

At present, the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble match winner has found a backup in the form of the current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, and the duo is rumoured to go up against Reigns and Rock in a tag team match.
