Bengaluru, July 17: It's not easy to smell what "The Rock is cookin'" given that he's always invested in multi-platforms to expand his stardom as well as business. This is the sole reason that his final match in the WWE is due for a long time.
In recent times, an emerging WWE Superstar has had his eyes on The Great One to make a name for himself which led to the speculations of WWE possibly having some plans regarding the two on TV.

Grayson Waller is that young superstar who recently got a rub from John Cena and WWE Hall of Famer Edge. Then, he sent an invitation to The Rock to show up at SmackDown which also started a Twitter battle.
That social media war was brought to Smackdown when Waller mentioned The Great One on TV. Per his claim, the veteran was willingly ready to "get a rub" from the Aussie while making his return.
To know more about the situation, Ringside News reached out to their sources to learn whether a storyline featuring The Rock and Grayson Waller is in the works on Smackdown. Unfortunately, they were returned with a negative answer.
A tenured member of the WWE creative team confirmed to RSN that no such angle is in WWE's pipeline. However, The Rock "is hurting for positive publicity" which could eventually lead to future planning in the WWE.
"We are told that there is no current plan for Grayson Waller vs. The Rock. That being said, Rock is hurting for positive publicity, so there may be something in the works," Steve Carrier of RSN informed.
After a not-so-impressive outing at the box office with Black Adam, The Rock lost a ton of money during XFL's launch. In addition, The Yong Rock season 4 was also canceled by NBC due to a lack of ratings.
The reintroduction of XFL was one of the main reasons that WWE couldn't do The Rock vs. Roman Reigns in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania 39 (aka WrestleMania Hollywood) in April.
However, in recent interviews, The Rock was open about having the match if his schedule permits. Hence, his dream match with WWE's Tribal Chief is still expected to go down at Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia.
