The Shield to feature in championship match on WWE Raw

Bengaluru, November 29: With the Survivor Series PPV in the history books, the brand rivalry between Raw and Smackdown is done for now, hence, the prime superstars from the flagship switch focus to the championships present on the show.

Last week, it was Roman Reigns who captured the Intercontinental Championship whereas this week, we expected the other two members of the Shield to claim the WWE Raw tag team championship.

The updates from WWE.com also suggested that the tag team championships might be on the line with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins claiming their rematch.

However, we later learned that one half of the challengers and another half of the champions were not at this week’s WWE Raw. So, the title match could not take place.

Rather, a singles match took place between Seth Rollins and Cesaro. Despite the latter one attacking the mid-section of the Architect, Rollins pulled off a win. He countered a sharpshooter and hit the Ripcord Knee on Cesaro for the win.

After the match, Seth Rollins had an interview with Charly Caruso to reveal that next week, his partner will be back and hence, they will invoke the rematch clause.

With that being said, the tag team championship match is now official to take place on WWE Raw between two-thirds of Shield and The Bar. The show will be hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The rivalry between these two teams has been going on for the better part of the year 2017. The two teams have become familiar to each one's flaws due to this stretched feud. So, the fans in Hollywood can expect to witness a great matchup.

Going by the words of Seth Rollins, there might be a championship change in store, next week. The Shield are going strong at the moment with Roman Reigns being the IC champion. So, the other two are also expected to pick up gold. If they win the titles then the hounds of justice will become a three-time tag team champions in the WWE.
