Bengaluru, December 5: Tonight will be one night of the year where WWE will film their annual tribute to the troops before the Smackdown Live show in San Diego, California.

With just two weeks remaining for the Clash of Champions show, the company is trying to add all the hype needed with a limited number of superstars available on the show.

As part of this, last week, we received huge announcements for the PPV event. Four championship matches were made official that will be contested for the United States, Smackdown women’s and the tag team championship. Tonight, we expect to see updates on these lineups with a series of new matches getting official on the show.

As per announcements on WWE.com, for the first-time ever, Baron Corbin will take on Bobby Roode in a singles match and this match is arranged at the right time to as we buildup towards the triple threat United States championship match that also features Dolph Ziggler. WWE.com had an update on this match with the following quotes,

“The Lone Wolf will get a chance to scout one of his opponents ahead of the WWE Network special this week when he takes on Roode in one-on-one action. Will The Glorious One give The Lone Wolf a preview of what lies ahead in their title match, or will Corbin make Roode face his End of Days?”

In another interesting matchup in the women’s division, Charlotte Flair is scheduled to take on Tamina Snuka in a non-title bout, while Lana will be in the latter one’s corner. We can certainly expect Natalya to get into the mix to deliver a big statement to the champion before the rematch at Clash of Champions. This is the official update from WWE.com,

“This week on SmackDown LIVE, she’ll be taking on Tamina, perhaps the hardest-hitting competitor in the SmackDown LIVE Women’s division. Can Tamina knock the champion down a few notches before her big title defense?”

The last match confirmed is a tag team contest which might start a rivalry in the tag team division. The New Day have had numerous backstage altercations with Rusev and Aiden English, lately and they will now be a part of an exciting match to settle the differences inside the ring.
