Three new matches added to WWE No Mercy PPV match card

Bengaluru, September 7: WWE is trying hard to make the No Mercy PPV as one of the biggest events of 2017. They want to change the tradition of this event being a B-grade PPV to a classic show. The reason behind the same is to retain the viewership during the NFL season which hit the Raw ratings.

We already know the main event of No Mercy between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship and we also were informed of the Wrestlemania-worthy match between John Cena and Roman Reigns. Now, with the latest announcements on this week's Raw the card has become a stacked one.

Sheamus and Cesaro lost the Raw tag team championship at the Summerslam PPV, hence, they will get a rematch against the new champions, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. This match was confirmed on WWE.com with the following statement:

“At WWE No Mercy, Raw Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins will go head-to-head against former titleholders Cesaro & Sheamus in a tough-as-nails Summerslam Rematch. Don’t miss what is sure to be an explosive Raw Tag Team Championship showdown at WWE No Mercy, Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on WWE Network.”

Plus, the feud between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt is far from over after the latter one cost Balor his spot at the battle royal last week. So, a rematch from Summerslam has been booked between the two. This time, Balor will not bring the demon king persona. WWE.com confirmed this match, as well,

“Though Bray Wyatt failed to defeat Finn Bálor at SummerSlam, The New Face of Fear has found a way to put The Demon to rest, as his Irish adversary will step into the darkness without the help of his alter-ego in a highly anticipated SummerSlam rematch on Sunday, Sept. 24, at WWE No Mercy.”

Apart from these two marquee matches, we will also get to see a fresh booking in the Raw Women’s Championship match. After a lot of complaints to the Raw GM, Nia Jax and Emma received an opportunity in the title match at No Mercy.

The champion, Alexa Bliss will now defend her championship against Nia Jax, Emma, and the former champion, Sasha Banks in a fatal-4-way match which is also a no-DQ contest and it has all the tools to steal the show.
