Top 10 pro-wrestling attendance event numbers revealed from 2023

2023 appeared to be an unthinkable year in professional wrestling as we saw Wrestlemania-caliber international shows outside the WWE banner while the brand later got merged with the UFC brand under the TKO banner.

Despite the corporate restructuring, WWE delivered some gigantic events including Wrestlemania, Saudi Arabia shows, and more. They're also gearing up for an even bigger 2024 with multiple international outings already slotted on the PLE calendar list.

Looking back in 2023, Wrestlenomics has now posted a list of the top 10 pro wrestling events after compiling data from Cagematch.net, WrestleTix, and Luchablog. It appears that a lot of big events were there and WWE wasn't the only company to host those.

The highest attendance in professional wrestling for 2023 was observed at AEW All In London 2023 in London, England with 81,035 fans as per the ticket distribution. WWE WrestleMania 39 in Inglewood, California came up second which itself is a mind-boggling stat.

WrestleMania 39 Night Two secured an estimated distribution of 67,553 tickets, while the Night One part on Saturday saw 67,303 distributed tickets. Combinedly, the biggest event of the year was able to topple All In.

The other significant WWE premium live events on the top 10 list were SummerSlam 2023 in Detroit, Michigan, with 51,477 attendees, and Royal Rumble 2023 in San Antonio, Texas, with 47,585 distributed tickets.

International events like NOAH Keiji Muto Grand Final Pro-Wrestling Last Love held in Tokyo, Japan, and NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Tokyo Dome, Japan were also inserted into the list with 30,096 and 26,085 distributed tickets, respectively.

WWE Backlash 2023 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and WWE Money in the Bank 2023 in London, England, UK were two unprecedented international PLEs and they got to witness 17,966 and 17,617 distributed tickets, respectively.

Survivor Series 2023 PLE, some of the Friday Night SmackDown episodes, and WWE Live Holiday Tour numbers also contributed to the top wrestling attendance figures for the year and these figures have already raised the bar for 2024.

Pro wrestling Fans can't wait to see the international events await in 2024 and that spree begins with WWE's Elimination Chamber in February. All In London 2 is booked for August 25th, 2024 while WrestleMania 40 will witness two sold-out nights in Philadelphia.
