Bengaluru, Aug 31: We have got a new WWE Universal Champion and a triumphant return from the COO of the company that is Triple H.

He turned against his former protege, Seth Rollins to everyone's shock. We expect a heated rivalry on Smackdown, too between Styles and Ambrose as we head towards the PPV, Backlash.

Apart from these headliners, there are a certain number of rumors that are filling the rumour mill. Here are they.

Bayley's push to the main roster

Vince McMahon is comparing Bayley with AJ Lee in terms of the debut and the popularity she has. Sasha Banks was supposed to have a long title reign until she came up with the sudden back injury and so dropped the title at Summerslam.

Hence, Bayley was called to the main roster earlier than expected. Upon return, a heel turn from Sasha Banks to feud with Bayley for the Women's championship is highly expected.

Original Plans for Finn Balor

It was really unfortunate to see Finn Balor relinquishing the Universal title due to the shoulder injury. The original planning was to start a feud with Owens vs. Balor for the Universal Championship in the post-Summerslam scenario.

However, all the planning had to be changed due to the injury and Owens was crowned with the championship belt, early. Even a triple threat championship match among Owens, Jericho, and Balor was planned after the Clash of the Champions PPV.

More shoot angles coming

The social media was taken by storm after the shoot angles took place in past couple of weeks. Brock Lesnar going off-script against Orton or The Miz talking trash against Daniel Bryan left the WWE fans talking about it and WWE is planning with more in the future.

Also, the rumors suggest that Orton was not present at the meeting when the finishing of the Summerslam main event was decided. The beatdown was scripted entirely. However, the blood was an accident.

Nikki Bella's star power

Due to the Eva Marie's suspension, Nikki Bella's return was preponed. However, she was always supposed to be a part of the blue brand to bring prestige to the newly unveiled Smackdown Women's championship.

If Nikki would not have been cleared then we were scheduled for Bayley to be called upon to the Smackdown main roster.

But Nikki made a memorable return and the originally planned match for the Summerslam kick-off was pushed to the main show only because of the star attraction of Nikki Bella. Hence, Cesaro vs. Sheamus took place in the kick-off show.

The Brock Lesnar situation

Apparently, WWE is not bringing Goldberg in a direct way. The easiest way would have been making an appearance with him at Summerslam.

But, now it looks like Brock is going to conquer Orton, once again at the rematch from Chicago. After that, he will start a feud with Shane McMahon.

In both the case, he is supposed to beat down his opponent which in turn will pave the way for making the save. The return might occur next year with the match in store for Wrestlemania 33.
