Bengaluru, August 9: WWE holds 4 bigger PPVs, every year which are Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series. Unlike the other PPV events, both Raw and Smackdown brand superstars can participate, here.

Plus, we get to witness the culmination of the biggest matches in these four events.

Summerslam is considered as the biggest event of the summer around the fans around the United States fans and all over the world. People from hundreds of countries gather to witness this show, live in-person making this one a huge fan festival that continues for one week.

Since this show helps a lot in travel and tourism, WWE wants to deliver a big show to the fans in order to give their money back. Summerslam is getting bigger with every year passing by and this year is no exception.

As reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the biggest party of the summer will have a run time of five and a half to six hours, this year.

There will be a kick-off show reserved prior to the main show which gets on the air for two long hours. The assumed run time might have included the kick-off show time making it a six-hour long show.

The kick-off show is set to feature Renee Young, Booker T, and some other WWE legends to discuss the possible outcomes of the marquee matches. It will also feature at least 2-3 matches with less importance to gear the audience up for the main show.

Following its conclusion, the main PPV show will host at least 9-10 matches from Raw and Smackdown which might take almost 4 more hours to make it a total six-hour long extravaganza. Even, last year, the event had gone over time with Brock Lesnar creating a ruckus at the end.

The source also stated that the venue, Barclays Center is yet to be sold out. However, just a few more tickets are left and expected to be picked up by the fans as we approach towards August 20th.

Indian fans can catch the event live on Sony Ten 1 Network and WWE Network on 21st instant from 3.30 AM onwards.

The Summerslam weekend will kick-start with next week's episode of Raw. A special NXT: Brooklyn III event will also be hosted on August 19th.
