Update On WWE Returning To Australia For A Premium Live Event

It was in this year's February that WWE held its Elimination Chamber premium live event in Perth, Australia from the Optus Stadium where the company's top star powers performed in marquee matches to deliver a memorable occasion before WrestleMania XL.

Given that the event was a major hit among the local fans and that WWE is interested in hosting more premium live events in international locations, another such show is expected, next year and we now have the timeline regarding it.

The current speculations suggest that WWE may return to Australia in the second half of 2025 for another premium live event. This comes after a report has been published by The Sunday Times/West Australian.

The report highlighted how there have been discussions ongoing between WWE and the Cook Government regarding a possible return to Perth. As of this writing, the Australian government has not disclosed any specific details.

However, the country's tourism Minister Rita Saffioti stated the following, "We're constantly pursuing these types of unique and exclusive events that attract visitors to our beautiful State, particularly ones that we know are incredibly popular like UFC and WWE."

WWE hosting a PLE in Australia should be inevitable in 2025 since their arch-rival AEW will host the Grand Slam pay-per-view event, next February at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Queensland to possibly create some new records.

Previously, WWE's Optus Stadium extravaganza became the most watched Elimination Chamber event in the company's history on top of also breaking their attendance record as more than 52,000 people were in live attendance of the show.

With two of the Elimination Chamber matches being the marquee attractions, the February PLE was expectedly headlined by the Australian WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley successfully defending her title against Nia Jax.

WWE later officially touted how Perth had produced the largest viewership both in the stadium and on TV for any Elimination Chamber. Currently, the confirmed WWE Premium Live Event schedule goes as follows:
