Update regarding Rob Van Dam returning to WWE

In a time when WWE requires some star powers from the past to boost up both shows, it is quite unfortunate not seeing Rob van Dam inside the squared circle for at least one last time.

Bengaluru, Oct 30: In a time when WWE requires some star powers from the past to boost up both shows, it is quite unfortunate not seeing Rob van Dam inside the squared circle for at least one last time.

Since, we are getting news that true shoulder to WWE storyline, Chris Jericho can be out of the company after the Hell in a Cell PPV, it would have been great to see the Human Highlight Reel back in action.

He has done the jobber's role before to the company in the year 2013 and 2014, in his second stint. Hence his name should be brought under consideration. He still has the potential to sell out a WWE event.

However, he appeared in a recent interview with former D-Generation X member, X-Pac and gave a negative reaction to the whole situation. As per his words, he is not on good terms with the company and will not probably return for one last stint.

He quoted the following, "No, I haven't heard from them since it's almost been a year actually. It was last October when we talked, and it really wasn't a good time for me to go out on the road.

"I had personal stuff that I was going through. But there's always a dollar amount that makes it worthwhile, you know what I mean?

"But the amount that would've made it worth it for me to go out and work wouldn't have been worth it for them and what they were thinking, and so that just didn't work out, which was good because I really wasn't wanting to do it then.

"And also I might've scared them away with the number it would've taken to make it worth my while. So no, I really haven't even talked to them."

It is quite surprising since WWE is renewing their contracts with old veterans like Rhyno, Curt Hawkins or even Zinder Mahal but they are not willing to bring back the all-time fan favorite “Mr. Monday Night" which actually can do a favor to them.

Rob Van Dam is the only one to hold the WWE and the ECW championship at the same time in the year 2006.

He was the main attraction of ECW for a long time before making it to the WWE. But, he left the company in bad terms only to return in the year 2013.

But, this time around he was contracted for a mid-card role and hence he was not given any championships. This again caused a rift with the veteran forcing him to leave in the year 2014.
