Why Braun Strowman dominated inside WWE Elimination Chamber?

Bengaluru, March 2: This year's Elimination Chamber was indeed a historic one with the first-ever women's match inside the cage structure, while the men's division matchup was also historic as seven superstars competed in it for the first time to crown the number one contender for the Universal Championship. In this process, many records were shattered.

This was the longest-running Elimination Chamber match in the history of the company that lasted for 40 minutes 15 seconds. The previous record was set in Survivor Series 2002 edition which was the inaugural match in the structure. Seth Rollins spent almost 35 minutes in the match setting the record for a solo performance.

But, Braun Strowman overshadowed all of them as he went berserk after being released from the chamber pod. He single-handedly eliminated five superstars from the match. The previous record was held by Triple H and The Undertaker with three eliminations, each.

In a report from the 434 Facebook page, it was clarified why the monster among men looked so strong in this year's Elimination Chamber match. The creative team was well aware of the fact that a negative fan backlash would start once Roman Reigns wins the match.

Hence, a dominant outing for Braun Strowman has certainly kept him in the championship scenario. So, if needed, this behemoth can be added to the title match at Wrestlemania. Another reason for this planning was a pledge from the franchise player of the company.

John Cena wanted to make sure that the new resident monster of the WWE dominates this match. He was the one to tell the officials to let Strowman conquer them all in the chamber.



Plus, John Cena also wanted to see Braun Strowman win the match and then challenge Brock Lesnar for the title. But, Roman Reigns got the opportunity as Vince McMahon remained unmoved from his decision of pitting his favorite player in the main event matchup.

However, there was some pleasant scene waiting for the fans, as well. Once Reigns won the match, the monster among men was back on his feet and delivered a brutal assault on the winner. This was to make sure that the fans can enjoy the beatdown which has become a regular thing wherever Strowman goes. It closed the show on a pleasant note for most of the fans and kept the dominant status intact for him.
