Why didn't Carmella cash-in Money in the Bank on WWE Smackdown?

Carmella was not happy either with one of the group members, Liv Morgan copying her in-ring gears on the main roster and this caused an altercation between the two on the social media.

Bengaluru, November 26: Carmella became the first woman in the history of WWE to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. A first-ever ladder match was conducted earlier in June this year for the female division of Smackdown Live. Due to controversy, the match took place not once but twice.

On both the occasions, the 'moon-walking, trash-talking’ lady won the match with the help of her ally James Ellsworth. Carmella used to carry the briefcase in her hand alongside Ellsworth in a dog leash until the latter one was released from the company. With her valet not being around, things might have gotten tough for her.

As of now, Carmella does not possess any sort of momentum on Smackdown Live. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was an ideal time for her to cash-in the contract and become the new champion a couple of months ago.

This was predicted because in the history of the Money in the Bank cash ins the holder uses it when they have momentums on their side. Out of nowhere, we got new champions which switched all the attention towards them. A similar strategy might be taken for the Princess of Staten Island, as well.

On this past week’s edition, Carmella did get a chance to capitalize on with the contract in hand with the NXT women’s debut and attack on Charlotte Flair. The champion was down after she received a beatdown by the debutants which was an opportunity for the heel superstar to utilize and cash in her briefcase.

But, The Princess of Staten Island decided to stay away from the scene. As revealed by her on Twitter, she did not like the attitude of the NXT girls. There was a fear that she might get attacked by the trio, as well. So, she took to social media to warn the new faction to stay away from her.

Carmella was not happy either with of the group members, especially Liv Morgan who copied her in-ring attire on the main roster and this caused an altercation between the two on social media.

It will be interesting to see when does WWE creative plan to make the cash-in happen for the heel superstar with the new faction stealing the spotlight for now.
