The 2024 edition of Money in the Bank premium live event in Toronto, Canada delivered some of the most unforgettable moments in WWE history but nothing was perhaps bigger than John Cena's return to drop a bombshell regarding his career.
In a highlight promo of the evening, the former franchise player of the WWE delivered an emotional speech about his upcoming retirement from in-ring competition in 2025, an announcement that took the pro-wrestling fraternity to a frenzy.

In the post-Money in the Bank conference, it was further clarified that John Cena will compete in his last WrestleMania match in the 2025 edition in Las Vegas. With that, the rumour mill is also running rampant to find out his opponent at the Show of Shows.
According to the odds released by BetOnline, Randy Orton emerged to be the odds-on favorite to be Cena's WrestleMania 41 opponent as he leads the pack with +150 odds. Current top stars like Cody Rhodes (+200), CM Punk (+500), The Rock (+800) and Roman Reigns (+900) are also there.
Some of the legendary WWE Superstars like Batista, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, and Stone Cold Steve Austin also made it to the list while an emerging star Bron Breakker (+1400) is also listed to battle Cena in a WrestleMania showdown.

If reports are any indications then the WWE roster was kept in the dark regarding John Cena's retirement tour which is expected to commence in December 2024 and should continue up to the latter part of 2025.
Multiple active WWE Superstars intended to be part of this last hurray of the 16-time world champion but the creative plans are yet to be sketched based on which Cena's WrestleMania 41 opponent will be declared.
