Wrestlemania 39: Celebrity WWE Superstar returning in physical capacity?

Bengaluru, April 1: WWE is all set to present yet another international premium live event in the form of Backlash 2023 edition in Puerto Rico, next month with Bad Bunny being the host of the event.

While there's no confirmation regarding the actual role of the celebrity rapper on that show, we assume that he will not only appear on the show but get involved in the competition, possibly wrestling in a match.

To ensure the same, Bad Bunny is speculated to make his return to WWE programming and get himself inserted into a storyline that would continue through the post-WrestleMania season.

According to the WrestleVotes, the Puerto Rico native is training for in-ring physicality and he might appear at WrestleMania 39, tomorrow night or Sunday to be a part of the annual WWE extravaganza.

"On March 14, Bad Bunny, Damian Priest, and Jamie Noble went to a training facility in Los Angeles to work things out. I can't confirm if it's for WrestleMania or Backlash, but I think it's WrestleMania.

"There was a training session involving the three of them. I don't know if that means Priest is directly involved, or what physicality Bad Bunny is doing, but he's training for physicality."

Bad Bunny has wrestled only two matches in WWE so far. He won a tag team match at WrestleMania 37 where Damian Priest was his tag team partner against the team of The Miz and john Morrison.

It should be noted that Priest is also a WWE Superstar billed from Puerto Rico and chances are high that the two could be booked in another storyline to culminate at Backlash on May 6.

For the second and last time, Bunny got physical in a match in the WWE was during the Men's Royal Rumble 2022 match where he entered as the 28th seed. The winner Brock Lesnar quickly eliminated him.

Now, the Puerto Rican Grammy-award winner will be back to host Backlash and possibly as a talent on WWE TV. His insertion into the mix has helped WWE's promotions for the show in that area.

According to Fightful Select, WWE has already cashed in $1.5 million for Backlash and the accompanying SmackDown, the night before the PLE, both from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.

Backlash marks the first major WWE Network Specials on the Puerto Rico island territory since New Year's Revolution in 2005, headlined by a World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match.
