Bengaluru, Ferbuary 13: One of the most trusted shoulders of WWE programming, Randy Orton has been absent for almost nine months. With WrestleMania 39 approaching closer, positive updates are now available regarding his impending return.

The 14-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion has been dealing with a back injury for the past few years that was reaggravated through time. Due to this, he hasn't wrestled since May. WWE then wrote him off TV with a vicious storyline assault by Roman Reigns.

While WWE has never provided any follow-up update regarding Randy Orton in recent times, it appears that he could be making his big return at or after WrestleMania 39, which is less than 50 days away in the schedule.

Over on his Instagram, Pro-Wrestling Bootmaker Jose G Sanz revealed that The Viper has contacted him to make a new set of boots for his return to WWE. Below is what he wrote on his Instagram story (translated from Spanish):

"I haven't made them yet but Randy Orton contacted me via email for his return. Currently, Drew McIntyre and Bray Wyatt are some of the biggest superstars. Today I received an order for boots for Cody (Rhodes) for WrestleMania."

While there is no confirmation on the exact timeline or capacity of Orton's return, as of this writing, we assume WrestleMania 39 could mark his return. Also, WWE could also reserve the big comeback for either Raw/SmackDown after WrestleMania.

This update appears to be contradictory with recent updates via different sources which indicated that WWE didn't have any plans for the below three top superstars of the Raw roster for WrestleMania 39:

1. Randy Orton (out of action with a back injury)

2. AJ Styles (out of action with an ankle injury)

3. Matt Riddle (in suspension for violating WWE's Wellness Policy for the 2nd time)

In addition, it was noted that no definite update was there about The Apex Predator's return after he underwent a lower back fusion surgery, last summer.

The under-the-knife procedure also resulted in a change in the originally planned main event for SummerSlam 2022 - Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

In the latest, Orton was spotted helping in Boon Center Inc. in his home state of Missouri. This was his first public appearance since dropping the Raw tag team titles to The Usos in a tag title unification match in May 2022.
