WrestleMania 39: Updates on Roman Reigns’ appearances around biggest WWE PLE

Before heading into the big match, the top WWE Superstar will wrestle in one rare untelevised Live Event match on March 4th at The Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as confirmed by the WWE.

Bengaluru, February 24: For the third time in a row, Roman Reigns is scheduled to headline WrestleMania which will take his combined number in the main-event scene to 7 at the Biggest Event of the Year.

Before heading into the big match, the top WWE Superstar will wrestle in one rare untelevised Live Event match on March 4th at The Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as confirmed by the WWE.

On that night, Roman Reigns is going to team up with Solo Sikoa to take on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a tag team contest. This will be for the first time in nearly six months that he will wrestle in a WWE house show.

The last time Roman wrestled in a weekend WWE Live Event match was on September 24th, 2022, where he defeated AJ Styles to retain his undisputed titles at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Apart from the title match, three more matches have been announced for this special Road to WrestleMania 39 tour show:

- Gunther (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship

- Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Sonya Deville for the SmackDown Women's Championship

- Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Lights Out Street Fight

Then at WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble Match winner Cody Rhodes in the main event of Night Two.

Following this, Roman isn't enlisted for Money in the Bank 2023, which will take place at the O2 Arena in London on July 1. Excluding the poster figure of the company, WWE is currently advertising the following names:

- Cody Rhodes

- Drew McIntyre

- Seth Rollins

- Kevin Owens

- Becky Lynch

- Charlotte Flair

- Bianca Belair

This doesn't come as a surprise since WWE started booking Roman Reigns as a special attraction, similar to Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania 38, where he became the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion by defeating Lesnar.

To see The Head of the Table in action, fans must subscribe to Peacock/WWE Network, as he mostly wrestles on premium live events/pay-per-views. As for Smackdown, he wrestled only twice on Friday nights after WrestleMania 38.

Also, since Roman has been removed from Money in the Bank, the popular fan theory is that he will drop the undisputed championship, possibly to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.

That may not necessarily be the case given that Roman did miss two post-Mania PLEs, namely Hell in a Cell and Money in the Bank in 2022, too. The absence may just allow WWE to present him in larger events as the marquee attraction.
