WrestleMania 40: CM Punk reveals role at WWE PLE on Raw

CM Punk had a grand homecoming on this week's Raw which went down from the All-State Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Just a few days before the Show of Shows, the top attraction of the WWE confirmed his presence at WrestleMania 40 during this appearance.

During this return on Raw, the former Straight Edge Leader stated that he had numerous matters to address but being in Chicago felt satisfying. Fans started chanting as they had inquiries about his presence at WrestleMania 40.

In response, CM Punk confirmed his attendance at the PLE despite not being medically cleared yet. He then shifted focus to Pat McAfee's recent interview with Roman Reigns, expressing interest in a future showdown with The Tribal Chief.

Further verbal jabs were there directed at Seth Rollins, The Rock, and Drew McIntyre. The latter came out and expressed his desire to defeat Punk, referencing their previous encounters and his wish of injuring Punk becoming a reality.

McIntyre suggested that CM Punk should serve as his muse and that he should witness his championship match at WrestleMania 40. Referring to himself as "The Chosen One," he also invited the current adversary to be a guest commentator.

Seth Rollins was out quick to make his presence felt in the situation and claimed his dominance with the Monday Night Rollins persona. He also dismissed Punk and McIntyre's authority to influence the championship match.

Rollins doubted Punk's relevance in the current context and that his involvement at WrestleMania wouldn't impact him or the match outcome. He wasn't keen on the former WWE Champion being the guest commentator upon which a big declaration was made.

CM Punk then defiantly inserted himself as the guest commentator for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL to make both the competitors entertaining.

As Punk was leaving the ring, McIntyre started some trash talk directed at him. This distraction allowed Rollins to attack McIntyre with a Superkick and Stomp. Rollins stood tall to end the segment on Raw.
