WrestleMania 40: Three New Matches Announced For PLE On WWE SmackDown

For the entire part of early 2024, the United States Champion Logan Paul has been engaged in a bitter feud with Kevin Owens which further got Randy Orton involved in it that will now culminate in a matchup at WrestleMania 40.

Alongside Owens, Paul got into the bad books of Randy Orton at Elimination Chamber after knocking out the latter with brass knuckles to help Drew McIntyre win the Men's Chamber match and capture the World Heavyweight Championship shot.

Then on last week's SmackDown, Paul was celebrating Prime's success with KSI when Orton made an appearance and took the latter down with an RKO. Paul wanted The Viper to apologize for his actions.

During this week's SmackDown, Randy Orton defeated Grayson Waller. Logan Paul was about to hit Orton with the KO punch, but Kevin Owens made the save. Despite this, Orton almost RKO-ed him but stopped.

Owens then hit Theory with the Stunner to which Orton followed up with an RKO. After this, Nick Aldis announced that Logan will defend the United States Title against Kevin and Randy in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 40.

For months, Jimmy Uso barred Jey Uso from becoming a solo champion following the latter's exit from The Bloodline. On three different occasions, Jimmy cost Jey championship glory with the most recent one coming against GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Title.

Due to this, Jey Uso finally threw out the challenge to Jimmy Uso on Raw, last week for a one-on-one encounter at WrestleMania 40 which was accepted by Jimmy during a backstage promo segment on SmackDown.

Plus, LA Knight challenged AJ Styles to a match at the Biggest Event of Them All. Styles attacked him from behind on the ramp with a steel chair in hand and accepted the challenge to make it official.

WWE WrestleMania 40 premium live event will take place at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7. The confirmed match card alongside the rumoured ones is given below:
