WrestleMania 40: Update on WWE planning Ladder Matches for PLE

Elimination Chamber 2024 was the night where the Men's and Women's World Heavyweight Championship Matches at WrestleMania 40 were confirmed via two Chamber Matches while two more matches were teased through altercations that happened inside the Chamber structure.

The United States Title Match was teased for WrestleMania 40 as the champion Logan Paul started a rivalry with Randy Orton. The Maverick hit The Apex Predator with his pendant brass knuckles to cost him the WWE Chamber match win.

Following this, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE is planning to do Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton for the United States Title at the biggest PLE of the year but that might not be the final plan around the match.

According to insider source BWE, WWE first considered the idea of ​​a Ladder Match for Gunther's Intercontinental Championship and that was the plan for WrestleMania XL for a long time. However, the plan has since changed.

It was stated that a Ladder Match is now being discussed for Logan's United States Title. However, WWE could go in either direction, as multiple Superstars teased going after Gunther's Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania during this week's Raw.

The current assumption is that WWE might just go for multiple ladder matches for the two mid-card titles from both Raw and SmackDown on two separate nights of WrestleMania 40 if not Logan vs. Orton match gets announced in due course.

No update was provided regarding the participants of the gimmick matches. But just like Gunther having multiple challengers, at the moment, Logan has also targets in his back in the form of Kevin Owens or LA Knight.

Speaking of Knight, AJ Styles blasted him with multiple chair shots to cause his elimination from the Chamber Match. These two could be booked in a singles contest at WrestleMania if not included in the US Title ladder bout.
