Being the biggest extravaganza in the world of sports entertainment, WrestleMania history has already seen some incredible appearances from mainstream celebrity guests and this year shouldn't be any exception given the company ownership has changed.
UFC owner Endeavor took over WWE from Vince McMahon under the TKO banner and they wanted Wrestlemania XL to indeed become the grandest stage of them all even though names like Brock Lesnar CM Punk, and Charlotte Flair won't be available.

But to make things up, WWE has already ensured The Rock's presence at the Show of Shows and he's also involved in the hype-ups. In addition, they are also looking forward to bringing another Hollywood Legend in for a segment.
According to the reports of WrestleVotes, WWE is interested in having Sylvester Stallone on board for WrestleMania XL. It's not clear how far the discussion between the two parties has gone forward and what kind of role he will exactly play.
"Sources within WWE indicate there is interest in collaborating with Sylvester Stallone for WrestleMania in some form. While any communication status is unclear, I'm told there's hope for it. Whether it ultimately ends up happening or not is to be determined."
WWE has a lot of plans for WrestleMania 40 and they are known to do special things related to the host city. Since the event is taking place in Philadelphia which is associated with Stallone's 'Rocky' franchise, his appearance makes sense.
Plus, Stallone is no stranger to the WWE Universe. Back in 2005, he inducted Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame. If more association goes down between the two parties, someday he might grace the Hall of Famer under the celebrity wing.
While nothing is confirmed, if WWE manages to reach a deal with Sylvester Stallone then he will most likely be used for the opening video package for the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania.
WrestleMania XL is set to go down at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7. Cody Rhodes and Bayley won their respective Royal Rumble matches to solidify their spots in title matches set for the PLE.
