WrestleMania 41: The Rock’s In-Ring Status For WWE PLE Remains Unclear

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a grand earlier-than-expected return at the WWE Bad Blood premium live event to shake things up in the Bloodline storyline and thereby indicate his involvement in a future match, possibly at WrestleMania 41.

After Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in the main event of Bad Blood 2024, The Rock came out and confronted the winners with a staredown from the ramp.

Once the show was over, The Rock went live on Instagram and addressed Rhodes, saying, “A lot of BS had been going on,” fueling further speculation about the impending match between the two reportedly scheduled for WrestleMania 41.

However, in a follow-up report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was mentioned that The Rock won’t make it to WrestleMania 41 next April, at least when it comes to in-ring capacity.

Being passionate about his involvement in WWE programming, The Great One always remains keen on giving 100 percent in and out of the ring which he won’t be able to do thanks to his packed schedule around the Show of Shows in Las Vegas.

Addressing the negative update, a fan wrote the following to The Rock under an Instagram post, “Are you really not working Mania 41??? Say it ain’t so!” and the reply he received was, “Don’t believe any of that bullsh*t.”

As such, WrestleVotes reported after Bad Blood that WWE has discussed the possibility of doing The Rock vs. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 in a triple-threat affair but plans are yet to be locked in.

To squash the rumours regarding this multi-person match, Dave Meltzer informed the following as learned from one of his sources on WON, “he’s not going to be able to do Mania. He already gave word that he wouldn’t be able to do that match.”

However, now that The Rock has commented on social media, this should keep the fans hopeful about his involvement at WrestleMania 41. With Royal Rumble season beginning shortly, further appearances from him on WWE programming are expected.
