WrestleMania: Triple H open to bringing biggest WWE PLE to London

WWE bringing WrestleMania in front of the wild fans of London, UK has been a dream for overseas fans. The company itself teased it even on TV during last year's Money in the Bank PLE via an appearance from legendary John Cena.

The aspect of London hosting the biggest event of the year was again teased by the Mayor of the city Sadiq Khan who has his own goal of attracting more North American sports events to the capital, including the first-ever international WrestleMania.

Speaking to MyLondon, Khan declared his initiative which is to elevate London's status as the "sporting capital of the world." As the London mayoral election looms, he's focused on hosting significant sporting events that include WWE's biggest PLE.

"If I'm re-elected on 2 May, I'm determined to go even further and fully cement London's reputation as the undisputed sports capital of the world. I believe that London has the potential to host the first international WrestleMania."

These comments garnered attention from the UK pro-wrestling fans about the big event. WWE CCO and Head of Creative Triple H took to Twitter and addressed the initiative of Khan to host WrestleMania in the United Kingdom by simply saying, "Let's talk."

WWE recently had a short tour in the UK and the top babyface figure of the roster, the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes acknowledged the fans' support and expressed gratitude for the "You Deserve It" chants during a live event.

Highlighting the sold-out UK tour and the massive success WWE has already received at the start of this post-Mania season, Rhodes suggested that the United Kingdom deserves to host the grandeur that WrestleMania is.

Interestingly, the London Mayor's pledge comes not long after WWE President Nick Khan affirmed that WWE plans to WrestleMania in North America for the foreseeable future. Time will tell if the company changes its strategy after this significant international call.
