Bengaluru, December 14: WWE is always one step ahead while coming up with innovative ideas and this is why they are considered to be the giant in the pro-wresting industry.

And this time, they come with an announcement of a brand new concept that will be streamed exclusively via social media as WWE have partnered with Facebook to start a new show from January 16th onwards.

As per the announcement made by the official website the show is called, Mixed Match Challenge where male and female superstars from Raw and Smackdown will team up to form a mixed tag team and have matches. The partner names depend as per their choice whereas the matches will go on air on Facebook Live.

Check out the announcement from WWE.com,

“In a historic event, male-female WWE Superstar pairings will battle in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament, Tuesday nights LIVE beginning Jan. 16 at 10 ET/7 PT, exclusively on Facebook Watch. The special 12-episode event will give one Raw or SmackDown LIVE combo the opportunity to win $100,000 for a charity of their choosing.”

Following this, the Raw and Smackdown general managers have revealed their respective rosters for the upcoming show which is as follows:

Monday Night Raw: Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Asuka, Bayley, Braun Strowman, Enzo Amore, Finn Balor, Goldust, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, The Miz

SmackDown Live: Becky Lynch, Bobby Roode, Carmella, Charlotte, Jimmy Uso, Lana, Naomi, Natalya, Rusev, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Now, it is evident that the real-life couples in the WWE will team up for sure whereas the chances are high that the on-screen pairs will also be seen competing together. Hence, Pro-wrestling Sheet came up with the potential mixed tag team that we might get to see in this tournament,

“One obvious note, our sources say Nia Jax and Enzo Amore are almost a lock to team together and there’s been talk of pairing up real-life married couples Jimmy Uso/Naomi and Lana/Rusev.”

Apart from these teams, Curt Hawkins wanted to team with Asuka as they are current longest losing and winning streak holders, respectively. On their social media handles, Carmella wanted Bobby Roode as her partner where Becky Lynch demanded fellow Irishmen, Finn Balor. The team names are likely to be confirmed soon.
