WWE announce Ronda Rousey’s first match

Bengaluru, March 6: Apparently, the Road to Wrestlemania just got a whole lot 'Rowdy’ for the WWE fans as Ronda Rousey is set to compete inside the WWE ring for the very first time. This will happen at the biggest stage of them i.e. at Wrestlemania 34.

The former UFC champion, Rousey will be involved in a mixed tag team match with fellow Olympian, Kurt Angle to take on the two authority figures of WWE Raw, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

The match was booked after what transpired on last week’s edition of Raw, where Kurt Angle was attacked by Triple H, while Stephanie McMahon slapped Rousey, who came to Angle's defence.

On this week's edition of Raw, Kurt Angle opened the show for revenge against Triple H and was soon joined by Ronda Rousey and Stephanie. Ronda Rousey was unhappy, after Stephanie humiliated her going bad-mouth. So, the two faces of WWE were very eager to lay their hands on the heels.

The situation went out of hand when Stephanie started to go bad-mouth against both, Kurt Angle and Rousey, who was reminded that she can choose anyone from the female roster for Wrestlemania, as per her contract, except for a championship match.

The former streak-holder simply went on to choose the WWE Raw commissioner. This received a loud cheer from the crowd. Later, Triple H arrived on the scene and tried to attack Kurt Angle, again. But, the WWE Raw GM countered this time with a solid punch to the face.

Following this, he talked about The Game targeting him for no reason, whatsoever, on a couple of times. Hence, their rivalry would be renewed. At Wrestlemania, he announced he will team up with Ronda Rousey to take on Stephanie and Triple H in a blockbuster matchup. WWE.com confirmed it with the following quotes,

“Will the pairing of Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle, two of the most decorated sports figures of all time, silence The Authority at WrestleMania? Or, will Stephanie McMahon & Triple H overcome Rousey & Angle’s impressive pedigrees with Pedigrees of their own on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

The faces stood tall after they delivered a strong statement to the heels. Triple H looks like he has injured his leg after being locked in the Angle Lock after more than a decade. Stephanie did try to rescue her husband but instead received a modified Samoan Drop which is the first-ever wrestling move performed by Ronda Rousey inside the WWE ring. We will get to see more of this, in the near future.
