New Delhi, Dec 11: With Clash of Champions just a few days away in WWE schedule, Smackdown Live is working hard to hype this event in possible ways.

The main event of the evening was confirmed in the form of a WWE Championship match after which we have learned about the other one from the Smackdown commissioner, last week.

The storyline angle between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens has been ongoing ever since the summer season has begun. This resulted in a Hell in a Cell match between the two of them and also put the best friend, Owens and Sami Zayn out of the Survivor Series main event match.

But, they will certainly feature in the spotlight when they will take on the team of Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at the Clash of Champions PPV.

Continuing his own vendetta against the heel superstars, Shane McMahon appointed himself as the special guest referee of the match where their career will also be on the line.

The punishments for the prizefighter will continue on this upcoming edition of Smackdown, as well. He is now being forced to compete against Shinsuke Nakamura on the main event singles match of the night. WWE confirmed the match on their official website:

“The fate of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be decided during a tag team battle against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Clash of Champions, as the troublesome duo’s careers in all of WWE will be on the line. But before the huge showdown in Boston, KO will have to step inside the squared circle with The King of Strong Style on this Tuesday’s edition of SmackDown LIVE, with Zayn and Orton in their partner’s respective corners.”

In case you have forgotten, both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were forced to compete against Randy Orton in singles matches in these past two weeks, consecutively. So, they will be quite frustrated after knowing that The Artist will be waiting for one half of them.

All four participants in the tag team match are likely to involve into the contest creating a huge brawl. This will also build the hype up to the limit for the last PPV of the year 2017.
