Bengaluru, August 27: The WWE Draft returned in 2016 causing in the much-needed brand split. This resulted in a revamped Raw and Smackdown show, every week starting from last year's Battleground PPV. Both the shows received separate rosters which helped to emphasize on more talents.

Since it became much successful, we anticipated it to continue this year, as well. As expected, it was brought back earlier with the name of Superstar Shakeup in the month of April. This changed the rosters to a significant extent.

Now, the main reason behind this shakeup was to plan newer feuds with the transfered superstars. Plus, this process also helps to utilize every superstar much better. Considering this, the rumour mill has hinted that a second such brand shift might take place soon.

According to the reports of cagesideseats.com, WWE have sketched out a plan to hold a second Superstar Shakeup for the year 2017. The most probable time to make it happen is within the next couple of weeks. Now that the biggest event of summer is over, we can expect more changes to the roster.

However, the source also included that this time the process will be done in 'reverse draft' theory. This means that several underutilized superstars from the main roster will go back to the NXT roster.

The moves from the main roster to NXT would be for talents that were major stars in NXT that Vince McMahon simply is not going to push on RAW or SmackDown, even if they are talents who are doing nothing on the main roster with the feeling that they could be more useful as top stars in NXT.”

This is going to be a far better idea for some of the superstars who have not received the spotlight after moving to the main roster till date. Names like Apollo Crews, Emma, Tye Dillinger should return to the developmental territory to brush up their talent once more.

It would also help to fill some of the vacant spots on the NXT roster. Due to the earlier call ups, it has lost some major names and lost the edge. So, the creative might ensure to overcome the decline with the upcoming Superstar Shakeup. Plus, some big names might end up from Raw to Smackdown brand and vice-versa.
