WWE Backlash 2024: Two top star powers in France for international PLE?

WWE is gearing up for Backlash 2024 Backlash premium live event scheduled for this Saturday night and the excitement among the fans is high given this is going to be an international show from France.

While the active roster members have been booked in top matches for the show, anticipations are also there regarding the presence of two prominent WWE Superstars, John Cena and Charlotte Flair as they are currently in France.

As seen via a photo on social media, Cena, the iconic WWE Superstar turned Hollywood star, has been spotted in Nice, France. It's been reported that he is filming 'Heads of State,' a movie project in collaboration with Amazon Studios in that town.

Cena's presence in France has sparked speculation among fans about his involvement in the Backlash event. Being a large-scale show, fans do expect that he might make a surprise appearance similar to what he did at Money in the Bank last year in London.

The Cenation Leader was back in the WWE for a one-off night at WrestleMania XL Night Two to help Cody Rhodes from The Bloodline. Eventually, he was taken out by The Rock after having an in-ring confrontation.

Alongside Cena, Charlotte Flair, one of the most decorated female Superstars of the WWE, has also been spotted in France. She uploaded a photo in a black dress with the location being this European country.

The reason for her presence remains a mystery while she could simply be accompanying her husband Andrade on the tour. With Flair's status and schedule being under wraps, fans are left to wonder whether she would show up on TV at the Backlash event.

The last time Charlotte was spotted on a WWE programming was on SmackDown December 8 episode where she picked up a torn ACL in a match against Asuka. Since then she underwent surgery and started training sessions for a comeback.
