WWE Bad Blood 2024 Results, Recap & Highlights: Multiple Returns Including The Rock’s in Climax Earns Huge Pop

Returning after two decades, the old-school WWE premium live event Bad Blood turned out to be a night to remember with four massive returns on the show to shake things up for the ongoing storylines on Raw and SmackDown.

Overall five matches were set on the card with one of them being a Hell in a Cell match to culminate in the long-going rivalry of CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. The two women's titles from the Raw and SmackDown brands were also on the line.

Plus, Roman Reigns returned to action for the first time in six months at Bad Blood 2024 which went down from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Check out the recap and results from WWE's latest bygone PLE.

- CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match in the opener of WWE Bad Blood 2024 with WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg sitting at ringside. Both the match participants were left busted open during the match.

The finish of the match saw Drew going for the Claymore, but he landed lowerback-first into the steel ring steps. Taking advantage of the situation, Punk wrapped a steel chain around his knee and then hit the GTS for the win.

- Nia Jax (c) defeated Bayley to retain the WWE Women's Championship in the second match of Bad Blood. With Tiffany Stratton at ringside, Nia hit a Samoan Drop from the second rope followed by the Annihilator on her opponent for the win.

- Damian Priest defeated one-half of the World Tag Team Champion Finn Balor. Despite interferences from Judgment Day members Carlito and JD McDonagh, Priest hit his finisher on Balor to pick up the win in a relatively non-eventful match.

- Triple H announced that at Crown Jewel, the Men's World Champions (WWE Champion vs. World Heavyweight Champion) and the Women's World Champions (WWE Women's Champion vs. Women's World Champion) will battle to crown the WWE Crown Jewel Champion.

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther came out, next and started insulting Goldberg. The legend entered the ring and he was seemingly ready for a fight but the security stopped him. Sami attacked Gunther from behind, forcing the champion to retreat.

- Rhea Ripley defeated Liv Morgan (c) via DQ with Dominik Mysterio hanging inside a shark cage. However, Liv retained the Women's World Championship since a title doesn't change hands in such a match outcome.

Dominik was hanging down from the cage as Rhea started hitting him with a kendo stick. Raquel Rodriguez suddenly made her return and started attacking Rhea, causing the disqualification. Raquel hit Rhea with a Texana Bomb to close the segment.

- In the main event of WWE Bad Blood 2024, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes defeated The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Cody took out Jacob Fatu with a Frog Splash through the announce table.

Roman hit a Superman Punch to Solo and was about to spear him but Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa caused the distraction. A mystery man then leveled the Tongas and it was Jimmy Uso. Roman hit Solo with a Spear for the win.

After the match, The Bloodline attacked Cody but Roman and Jimmy made the save. The Rock's music hits and he came out with the People's Championship. Raising the People's Eyebrow, he did the Throat Slash sign and left to close the show.
