Bengaluru, December 3: The four horsewomen of WWE - Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley - will take on UFC's Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir in a four-on-four tag team contest at Wrestlemania 34.
WWE posted a picture on its official Twitter handle to indicate the upcoming match. If the graphics in the background picture is any hint, then the much-anticipated cross-brand match will take place at Wrestlemania 34.
Rousey has been rumoured to feature in a WWE match for a long time. The rumours of this particular tag team match featuring the women were there since the Mae Young Classic tournament took place on the WWE Network. Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley ran into the four ladies from UFC recently. The upcoming feud should be a continuation of this segment.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has previously hinted that this cross-brand match might be reserved for the Survivor Series PPV. But the match was cancelled as all of the four horsewomen of WWE (Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley) were booked for the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination tag team contest.
The UFC stars have already started training for this bout. Ronda is learning pro-wrestling moves for quite sometime under the guidance of veteran WWE superstar, Brian Kendrick. Shayna and Sharif are also undergoing wrestling sessions at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Jessamyn visits the Santino Bros Wrestling Academy in California for the same purpose. Even WWE diva Natalya was seen training with them recently.
