WWE bookings give big hint that Goldberg will win the Universal title

Bengaluru, Feb 24: As announced by WWE, Goldberg is the number one contender for the WWE Universal Championship. He will be challenging for the prime title on the flagship show at the Fastlane PPV which will also mark the last PPV before Wrestlemania 33. This match between him and Kevin Owens is going to be the main event of the night on March 5.

There have been some reports that already stated that Goldberg will be eventually holding the Universal title taking it away from Kevin Owens. So, the former WCW franchise will be the one walking into Wrestlemania 33 as the champion. He will be defending it against the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar at the grandest show of them all.

As further reported by wrestlingINC.com, WWE's latest booking indicates that there's no doubt that Goldberg will become a two-time champion in the WWE at Fastlane. He is advertised to appear on the February 27th episode of Monday Night Raw to hype up the Fastlane PPV.

He is also added to the March 6th episode which will mark the post-Fastlane episode of Raw giving a big hint that the myth will be making his first appearance as Universal champion in the WWE. There should not be any other reason to book him for the show, all of a sudden.

He will continue his rivalry with Brock Lesnar, as well due to which the beast is advertised for every episode of Raw en route to the Wrestlemania season. Vince McMahon wants to book the last match between Lesnar and Goldberg a title match and hence the title change might be evident at Fastlane.

This is bad news for Owens' fans, for sure who will be dropping the title after holding it for more than six long months. He is expected to feature in a United States championship match against his best friend, Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania.
