Bengaluru, Oct 1: The rumours of WWE buying their rival brand, TNA wrestling promotion was running for quite a few weeks. Now, the current president of TNA, Billy Corgan confirmed that WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon has intended to buy the company.

In a recent appearance on the "ESPN" show, Dan Le Batard, Corgan said that WWE is in the race of taking over TNA who desperately needs some fund to channel their next PPV event, Bound for Glory. Reports also suggest that don't even have the fund to run their flagship shows in the upcoming weeks.

Corgan also said that he is not willing to sell the company to the billionaire, Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince has the tendency to take over his rival companies to shut them up for good. Previously in the last two decades, he overtook WCW and ECW who were giving a tough fight to the WWE viewership. However, much of the ownership of the TNA franchise belongs to Dixie Carter and she will decide to whom the company should go to.

This time around, Vince is interested in buying TNA mainly for their huge video library. TNA's prime superstars mostly are the former WWE superstars and so the inclusion of their complete career video package will be a benefit for the WWE Network.

Apart from that, there are a number of superstars whom WWE is intending to sign into their main roster. These superstars are Matt, Jeff Hardy, Drew Galloway, Ethan Curter, Bobby Lashley etc. This will be a golden opportunity for the TNA superstars who will get a chance to showcase their talents on a bigger stage.

With that being said, it is reported that Sunday's Bound for Glory PPV will mark the end for TNA. The President, Corgan himself has not assured if the PPV can take place as per schedule. Dave Meltzer has already confirmed that WWE is in the race of buying TNA, firmly and we can receive the big news anytime.

Two other parties are also taking part in the bid. They are Ring of Honor owner Sinclair broadcasting and Billy Corgan himself who is trying take over from Dixie Carter, as a whole. Stay tuned here, for further updates of WWE buying TNA.
