WWE changed Elimination Chamber planning due to Seth Rollins’ injury

Bengaluru, Feb 23: There has been a lot of speculations regarding Seth Rollins suffering from an injury, as of late. He is one of the most prime names from WWE Raw and hence the fans were much-concerned about this especially already some big names are sitting out of the mix due to injury and might miss Wrestlemania.
The speculations regarding the high-flyer getting bitten by the injury bug have been a topic of discussion since the Royal Rumble PPV. This was at the same time when his tag team partner, Jason Jordan, too suffered the same consequence. Later, his on-screen father, Kurt Angle confirmed that owing to a neck injury, Jordan will miss this year’s Wrestlemania.
No such clarifications were made on Seth Rollins’ status that kept his fans on their toes. Although he himself assured the fans about this on the social media, the recent reports suggest there is an issue with his status which reflected on WWE creative planning around the Elimination Chamber PPV, as well.
According to the reports of Sportskeeda.com, The Architect has been dealing with a back injury for quite sometimes. The initial diagnosis suggested that he might require a minor surgery.
This also meant that he will have to sit out Wrestlemania for the second time in his career. With Jordan suffering from injury, the officials took the tag titles away from the, at the earliest.
Rollins was withdrawn from the Elimination Chamber match due to his incompetence and the officials came up with the thought of new rivalry in his absence, according to the source,
“The Miz and Finn Balor were initially set to feud over the former’s WWE Intercontinental title at the Elimination Chamber PPV, however, with Rollins & Jordan out, Miz & Balor were added to the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. Rollins was suspected to have a degenerated/torn lumbar disc, however, the tests for the same came back negative.”
However, the one-third member of The Shield was re-checked by the doctors, last week, prior to WWE Raw when it was determined that the concussion that he is dealing with can be healed in quick time. The torn-muscle causing acute back pain and inflammation said to be recoverable at the earliest which is why he was added back to the Elimination Chamber match.
So, as of now, Seth Rollins’ status is not in jeopardy for the biggest event of the year. We can expect him to compete in a huge singles match with the opponent likely to be revealed in due course.
